- Trust checks: policy visibility, support path, country fit, and correction history.
- Conversion fit: whether the offer can satisfy the page promise without forcing a bad click.
Source rules
Public, current, first-party information gets priority.
- Official product pages and partner landing pages.
- Official privacy, terms, billing, cancellation, and support pages.
- Manual page checks with a visible update month when data can change.
- Reader or vendor corrections only when supported by public source material.
Affiliate policy
Companion Picks may earn from partner links, but ranking logic still has to match the page intent.
- Affiliate links route through `/go/` and are excluded from the public sitemap.
- Commercial pages include disclosures and use `nofollow sponsored` where appropriate.
- External resource assets avoid direct affiliate links unless the platform and context make that appropriate.
- Corrections cannot buy ranking changes or hidden placements.
Correction process
Use the public data request page when a pricing field, feature note, country availability note, or policy citation is out of date.
